List of things currently needed
Here's some things that we need for the ministry, need for ourselves or would like to have. Please do not feel that you have to supply all or anything on this list. It is here because friends have asked us to post it so they can know how to best help the work or encourage us.
For the book listed below we suggest you find out from the Post Office about sending things through a special book rate, perhaps in a mailbag.

Used laptops for Bible translation. Windows 98 machines that have a working CD drive, USB port and power cord. We could use four of them. Used models that church members might have at home that they are not using and that they would like to donate, if they are working well will do. Or used machines available on the internet for cheap prices will do. |

Desktop cassette tape recorder or any portable cassette tape recorders. Could use up to six of them. Used to record the languages we are working in for linguistic analysis. Should have a working microphone either built in or remote microphone for recording. Used models that church members might have at home that they are not using and that they would like to donate, if they are working well will do. Or used machines available on the internet for cheap prices will do. |

A computer projector. |
An old used one will do if you can also supply extra bulbs for it. Or, one that we have seen that would serve very well is Dell Computer Projector: Model M109S. (About $400). This projector is amazingly small and works only from a USB connection.

An updated version of Microsoft FrontPage. The version we are using now is FrontPage 2000. Or if someone strongly recommends similar software for doing web pages that would allow me to easily transfer from FrontPage to another tool. |

A professional quality cassette tape deck for linguistic analysis of the languages we are working in. Anyone one of the following models: |
Marantz PMD430 A new one can cost $400 or more, but can also sometimes be found used on the internet for less than $50.
Any model similar to the above will do.
Dreaming:

A big need of our ministry in Zambia would be to have a training center. As it is we currently rent a home and it is always difficult to find reasonable places to rent. A training center with classrooms for teaching Bible translation, housing for students as well as for us and our staff would be "a dream". Currently there is a property near us that would be suitable available for $250,000.00 This is big bucks but God can do anything! Let us know if you need more details. |
